My name is Christopher Lash and this blog focuses on Polish football in English, written from my home in the Polish capital Warsaw. I started blogging about how Poland experienced Euro 2012 and now I write, tweet and podcast about the wacky world of Polish football (WWOPF). In my day job I’m a lecturer at Warsaw’s Lazarski University. My research interests focus on Ethnic cleansing and the History of Sport in Central and Eastern Europe and the History of Poland in the Soviet bloc from 1944-1989. My most recent academic article, which appeared in the International Journal of the History of Sport, is about match-fixing in Polish football in the 1993 season.

Hello. I often land on this blog as I research the history of Polish football for my novel. My question is whether there’s a way to search your blog for specific topics. My novel takes place between 1945-68. I once read an entry about football right after the War, how one team (I believe Liga) was supported by the Communist regime while Polonia was not… I cannot find that post anymore.
